Welcome to the Museum of Moving Art

MOMA - the museum that comes to you :-)

This is an experimental project that explores the intersections between game-playing, storytelling and art-making framed in the contexts of artivism and community arts participation. Think of it as "street art with theatrical tendencies" generated by people playing together creatively. The MOMA project incorporates a broad range of digital and traditional art practices, including creative flight simulation.

Somewhat recursively, this wiki provides the conceptual framework for the project and tools for player participation, while also serving as a home for the project's online content & creative outcomes.

  • The SIDEBAR navigation of the wiki has been fine tuned to be more streamline and reflect the growing focus and direction of the wikimoma.art project.
  • The Messy Kittens Crafting Corner gatherings at the Catalyst Social Centre have continued toto be fruitful with quiet a bit of interest being shown in MOMA. Last week we discussed becoming formalized as a collective and applying to join the Catalyst federation. This would allow for MOMA to apply to become one of the projects run from there and to input into decisions about the whole space (storage for example). It would also allow more people there to find out about MOMA and get involved. It is the kind of thing that many of the Catalyst community would be interested in.
  • No much creative writing has been done this last week but some faffing around with content artworks has occured.
