The Museum of Moving Art

Glad you could come and check out the progress we are making building MOMA and it's website.

Please feel free to look around. There are currently no exhibitions as we are still making the platform, but you can help make MOMA real by getting involved, collaborating and contributing artworks.

But what is it?

If we were to say "MOMA is what you make it", we'd run the risk of you rolling your eyes, moving you're mouse and clicking somewhere else. But here at MOMA, we like taking risks!

Oh good, you're still here; then let's continue our tour of the Museum.

Unlike most museums, MOMA doesn't exist as a spacious public building, instead it is major international public artwork (a composite artwork - a work of art made up of other works of art). Originally conceived as street art with theatrical tendencies, the Museum of Moving Art has evolved into an expansive role-playing-game (RPG) built around a central narrative. It is that narrative which creates the story world into which you have just entered.

At MOMA people in communities come together to play games which result in the making and exhibiting art at pop-up real-life installations and structures - they have the capacity to move. That game play is facilitated via this wiki and through players acting as curators.

Players also come together online at this wiki and in the MOMA Discord server to play and create. Digital art is also exhibited here.

Get Off to some Flying Art

Currently the feature project (where most of the effort is focussed), is a table-top board game called The World of Art.
