Welcome to the Museum of Moving Art

MOMA is a hybrid game that integrates art making & sharing with storytelling and creative flight simulation.

Framed in the context of artivism and community arts participation, this experimental project incorporates a broad range of digital and traditional art practices. It is driven by 4 simple ideas:

  • everyone is an artist
  • everyone is a story teller
  • you are never too old or corrupted to play
  • participating in community arts is good for you & good for the community

At MOMA we endeavor to enable and include the creative output of anyone who wants to participate either online or face-to-face in real life community events. Creative output occurs by playing the MOMA Game, and it only one of the benefits of playing.

Somewhat recursively, this wiki provides the conceptual framework for the project and tools for player participation. The wiki also serving as a home for the project's online content & creative outcomes.

This dense tangle of artspeak is unpacked and explored in more detail at the "About MOMA" page.
